King James Version

MZM 46-48
1TIM 2

MZM 46

1.   < A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song for Alamoth.>> God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2.   Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3.   Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah 4.   There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. 5.   God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. 6.   The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7.   The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah 8.   Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has made desolations in the earth. 9.   He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. 10.   Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 11.   The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

MZM 47

1.   <> Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! 2.   For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. 3.   He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet. 4.   He will choose our inheritance for us, The excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah 5.   God has gone up with a shout, The LORD with the sound of a trumpet. 6.   Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7.   For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. 8.   God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. 9.   The princes of the people have gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.

MZM 48

1.   <> Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. 0.   2Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King. 3.   God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge. 4.   For behold, the kings assembled, They passed by together. 5.   They saw it, and so they marveled; They were troubled, they hastened away. 6.   Fear took hold of them there, And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs, 7.   As when You break the ships of Tarshish With an east wind. 8.   As we have heard, So we have seen In the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah 9.   We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness, In the midst of Your temple. 10.   According to Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness. 11.   Let Mount Zion rejoice, Let the daughters of Judah be glad, Because of Your judgments. 12.   Walk about Zion, And go all around her. Count her towers; 13.   Mark well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces; That you may tell it to the generation following. 14.   For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.

1.   Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2.   for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3.   For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4.   who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5.   For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6.   who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7.   for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle––I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying––a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8.   I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 9.   in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10.   but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11.   Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12.   And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13.   For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14.   And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15.   Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self–control.
