King James Version

MZM 63-65
2TIM 2

MZM 63

1.   <> O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 0.   2So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. 3.   Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. 4.   Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5.   My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. 6.   When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. 7.   Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. 8.   My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. 9.   But those who seek my life, to destroy it , Shall go into the lower parts of the earth. 10.   They shall fall by the sword; They shall be a portion for jackals. 11.   But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.

MZM 64

1.   <> Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; Preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2.   Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity, 3.   Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows––bitter words, 4.   That they may shoot in secret at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear. 5.   They encourage themselves in an evil matter; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who will see them?" 6.   They devise iniquities: "We have perfected a shrewd scheme." Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. 7.   But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they shall be wounded. 8.   So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away. 9.   All men shall fear, And shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing. 10.   The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.

MZM 65

1.   <> Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed. 2.   O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come. 3.   Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them. 4.   Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple. 5.   By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far–off seas; 6.   Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power; 7.   You who still the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples. 8.   They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice. 9.   You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it. 10.   You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth. 11.   You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. 12.   They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side. 13.   The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

2TIM 2

1.   You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2.   And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3.   You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4.   No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5.   And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6.   The hard–working farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7.   Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. 8.   Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9.   for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10.   Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11.   This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him , We shall also live with Him . 12.   If we endure, We shall also reign with Him . If we deny Him , He also will deny us. 13.   If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. 14.   Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15.   Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16.   But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17.   And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18.   who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19.   Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 20.   But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21.   Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22.   Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23.   But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24.   And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25.   in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26.   and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
