KEL 15
AYB 42
KIS 4:23-37

KEL 15

1.   Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! 2.   The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. 3.   The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name. 4.   Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. 5.   The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone. 6.   "Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces. 7.   And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble. 8.   And with the blast of Your nostrils The waters were gathered together; The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths congealed in the heart of the sea. 9.   The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’ 10.   You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters. 11.   "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? 12.   You stretched out Your right hand; The earth swallowed them. 13.   You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation. 14.   "The people will hear and be afraid; Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia. 15.   Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. 16.   Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm They will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O LORD, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased. 17.   You will bring them in and plant them In the mountain of Your inheritance, In the place, O LORD, which You have made For Your own dwelling, The sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established. 18.   "The LORD shall reign forever and ever." 19.   For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. 20.   Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 21.   And Miriam answered them: "Sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!" 22.   So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23.   Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24.   And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" 25.   So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them. And there He tested them, 26.   and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you." 27.   Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.

AYB 42

1.   Then Job answered the LORD and said: 2.   "I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. 3.   You asked , ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4.   Listen, please, and let me speak; You said , ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’ 5.   "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. 6.   Therefore I abhor myself , And repent in dust and ashes." 7.   And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has . 8.   "Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has ." 9.   So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job. 10.   And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11.   Then all his brothers, all his sisters, and all those who had been his acquaintances before, came to him and ate food with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. Each one gave him a piece of silver and each a ring of gold. 12.   Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. 13.   He also had seven sons and three daughters. 14.   And he called the name of the first Jemimah, the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren–Happuch. 15.   In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. 16.   After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. 17.   So Job died, old and full of days.

KIS 4 23-37

23.   And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24.   So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25.   "who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things? 26.   The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the LORD and against His Christ.’ 27.   "For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28.   "to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29.   "Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30.   "by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." 31.   And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. 32.   Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33.   And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34.   Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35.   and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. 36.   And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus, 37.   having land, sold it , and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
