KIS 19:1-20

KEL 40

1.   Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2.   "On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 3.   "You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and partition off the ark with the veil. 4.   "You shall bring in the table and arrange the things that are to be set in order on it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and light its lamps. 5.   "You shall also set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and put up the screen for the door of the tabernacle. 6.   "Then you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 7.   "And you shall set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 8.   "You shall set up the court all around, and hang up the screen at the court gate. 9.   "And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall hallow it and all its utensils, and it shall be holy. 10.   "You shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar. The altar shall be most holy. 11.   "And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it. 12.   "Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of meeting and wash them with water. 13.   "You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. 14.   "And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics. 15.   "You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations." 16.   Thus Moses did; according to all that the LORD had commanded him, so he did. 17.   And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up. 18.   So Moses raised up the tabernacle, fastened its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and raised up its pillars. 19.   And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 20.   He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark. 21.   And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 22.   He put the table in the tabernacle of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil; 23.   and he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 24.   He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle; 25.   and he lit the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 26.   He put the gold altar in the tabernacle of meeting in front of the veil; 27.   and he burned sweet incense on it, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 28.   He hung up the screen at the door of the tabernacle. 29.   And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 30.   He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing; 31.   and Moses, Aaron, and his sons would wash their hands and their feet with water from it. 32.   Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as the LORD had commanded Moses. 33.   And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. 34.   Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35.   And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 36.   Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. 37.   But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. 38.   For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

MZM 53

1.   <> The fool has said in his heart, " There is no God." They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none who does good. 2.   God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3.   Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. 4.   Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon God? 5.   There they are in great fear Where no fear was, For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; You have put them to shame, Because God has despised them. 6.   Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

MZM 54

1.   <> Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your strength. 2.   Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth. 3.   For strangers have risen up against me, And oppressors have sought after my life; They have not set God before them. Selah 4.   Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life. 5.   He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in Your truth. 6.   I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good. 7.   For He has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.

MZM 55

1.   <> Give ear to my prayer, O God, And do not hide Yourself from my supplication. 2.   Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily, 3.   Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me, And in wrath they hate me. 4.   My heart is severely pained within me, And the terrors of death have fallen upon me. 5.   Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me. 6.   So I said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. 7.   Indeed, I would wander far off, And remain in the wilderness. Selah 8.   I would hasten my escape From the windy storm and tempest." 9.   Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues, For I have seen violence and strife in the city. 10.   Day and night they go around it on its walls; Iniquity and trouble are also in the midst of it. 11.   Destruction is in its midst; Oppression and deceit do not depart from its streets. 12.   For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it . Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. 13.   But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance. 14.   We took sweet counsel together, And walked to the house of God in the throng. 15.   Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, For wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. 16.   As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me. 17.   Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. 18.   He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me. 19.   God will hear, and afflict them, Even He who abides from of old. Selah Because they do not change, Therefore they do not fear God. 20.   He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; He has broken his covenant. 21.   The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, But war was in his heart; His words were softer than oil, Yet they were drawn swords. 22.   Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. 23.   But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You.

KIS 19 1-20

1.   And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2.   he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." 3.   And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John’s baptism." 4.   Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." 5.   When they heard this , they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6.   And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7.   Now the men were about twelve in all. 8.   And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God. 9.   But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. 10.   And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. 11.   Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12.   so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. 13.   Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." 14.   Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15.   And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?" 16.   Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17.   This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18.   And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19.   Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20.   So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.
