KEL 28

1.   "Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron’s sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 2.   "And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. 3.   "So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. 4.   "And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest. 5.   "They shall take the gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread , and fine linen, 6.   "and they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread , and fine woven linen, artistically worked. 7.   "It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together. 8.   "And the intricately woven band of the ephod, which is on it, shall be of the same workmanship, made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread , and fine woven linen. 9.   "Then you shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel: 10.   "six of their names on one stone, and six names on the other stone, in order of their birth. 11.   "With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel. You shall set them in settings of gold. 12.   "And you shall put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. So Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders as a memorial. 13.   "You shall also make settings of gold, 14.   "and you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings. 15.   "You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread , and fine woven linen, you shall make it. 16.   "It shall be doubled into a square: a span shall be its length, and a span shall be its width. 17.   "And you shall put settings of stones in it, four rows of stones: The first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald; this shall be the first row; 18.   "the second row shall be a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 19.   "the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 20.   "and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be set in gold settings. 21.   "And the stones shall have the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, each one with its own name; they shall be according to the twelve tribes. 22.   "You shall make chains for the breastplate at the end, like braided cords of pure gold. 23.   "And you shall make two rings of gold for the breastplate, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. 24.   "Then you shall put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate; 25.   "and the other two ends of the two braided chains you shall fasten to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in the front. 26.   "You shall make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which is on the inner side of the ephod. 27.   "And two other rings of gold you shall make, and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod. 28.   "They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate does not come loose from the ephod. 29.   "So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place , as a memorial before the LORD continually. 30.   "And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the LORD continually. 31.   "You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. 32.   "There shall be an opening for his head in the middle of it; it shall have a woven binding all around its opening, like the opening in a coat of mail, so that it does not tear. 33.   "And upon its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around: 34.   "a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe all around. 35.   "And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and its sound will be heard when he goes into the holy place before the LORD and when he comes out, that he may not die. 36.   "You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD. 37.   "And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. 38.   "So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD. 39.   "You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread , you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work. 40.   "For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty. 41.   "So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests. 42.   "And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs. 43.   "They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they come into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister in the holy place , that they do not incur iniquity and die. It shall be a statute forever to him and his descendants after him.

MZM 33

1.   Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. 2.   Praise the LORD with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. 3.   Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. 4.   For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth. 5.   He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. 6.   By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. 7.   He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. 8.   Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9.   For He spoke, and it was done ; He commanded, and it stood fast. 10.   The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. 11.   The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. 12.   Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. 13.   The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. 14.   From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; 15.   He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. 16.   No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. 17.   A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. 18.   Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, 19.   To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. 20.   Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. 21.   For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. 22.   Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.

MZM 34

1.   << A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.>> I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2.   My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3.   Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. 4.   I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5.   They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. 6.   This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him , And saved him out of all his troubles. 7.   The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. 8.   Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9.   Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. 10.   The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing . 11.   Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12.   Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? 13.   Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. 14.   Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. 15.   The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. 16.   The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17.   The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18.   The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19.   Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. 20.   He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. 21.   Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. 22.   The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

KIS 11

1.   Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. 2.   And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, 3.   saying, "You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!" 4.   But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying: 5.   "I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came to me. 6.   "When I observed it intently and considered, I saw four–footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 7.   "And I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter; kill and eat.’ 8.   "But I said, ‘Not so, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has at any time entered my mouth.’ 9.   "But the voice answered me again from heaven, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’ 10.   "Now this was done three times, and all were drawn up again into heaven. 11.   "At that very moment, three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent to me from Caesarea. 12.   "Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house. 13.   "And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, 14.   ‘who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.’ 15.   "And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 16.   "Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17.   "If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" 18.   When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life." 19.   Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. 20.   But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21.   And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord. 22.   Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. 23.   When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. 24.   For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord. 25.   Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. 26.   And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. 27.   And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28.   Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. 29.   Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. 30.   This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
