2KOR 11:1-15

UL 5 23-33

23.   "So it was, when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, that you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders. 24.   "And you said: ‘Surely the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire. We have seen this day that God speaks with man; yet he still lives. 25.   ‘Now therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the LORD our God anymore, then we shall die. 26.   ‘For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have , and lived? 27.   ‘You go near and hear all that the LORD our God may say, and tell us all that the LORD our God says to you, and we will hear and do it .’ 28.   "Then the LORD heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and the LORD said to me: ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They are right in all that they have spoken. 29.   ‘Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! 30.   ‘Go and say to them, "Return to your tents." 31.   ‘But as for you, stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I am giving them to possess.’ 32.   "Therefore you shall be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. 33.   "You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

UL 6 1-25

1.   "Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2.   "that you may fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3.   "Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it , that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you––‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’ 4.   "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5.   "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6.   "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7.   "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8.   "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9.   "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. 10.   "So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, 11.   "houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn–out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant––when you have eaten and are full–– 12.   " then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 13.   "You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. 14.   "You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you 15.   ‘(for the LORD your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the LORD your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth. 16.   "You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted Him in Massah. 17.   "You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. 18.   "And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the LORD swore to your fathers, 19.   "to cast out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken. 20.   "When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the LORD our God has commanded you?’ 21.   "then you shall say to your son: ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22.   ‘and the LORD showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household. 23.   ‘Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers. 24.   ‘And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day. 25.   ‘Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us.’

AMS 29

1.   He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. 2.   When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. 3.   Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth. 4.   The king establishes the land by justice, But he who receives bribes overthrows it. 5.   A man who flatters his neighbor Spreads a net for his feet. 6.   By transgression an evil man is snared, But the righteous sings and rejoices. 7.   The righteous considers the cause of the poor, But the wicked does not understand such knowledge. 8.   Scoffers set a city aflame, But wise men turn away wrath. 9.   If a wise man contends with a foolish man, Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace. 10.   The bloodthirsty hate the blameless, But the upright seek his well–being. 11.   A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back. 12.   If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked. 13.   The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives light to the eyes of both. 14.   The king who judges the poor with truth, His throne will be established forever. 15.   The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. 16.   When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases; But the righteous will see their fall. 17.   Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul. 18.   Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law. 19.   A servant will not be corrected by mere words; For though he understands, he will not respond. 20.   Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. 21.   He who pampers his servant from childhood Will have him as a son in the end. 22.   An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression. 23.   A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor. 24.   Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing. 25.   The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe. 26.   Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for man comes from the LORD. 27.   An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

2KOR 11 1-15

1.   Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly––and indeed you do bear with me. 2.   For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3.   But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4.   For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted––you may well put up with it! 5.   For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles. 6.   Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things. 7.   Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8.   I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you. 9.   And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself . 10.   As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11.   Why? Because I do not love you? God knows! 12.   But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. 13.   For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14.   And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15.   Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
