KEJ 45
AYB 19
MAT 24:1-28

KEJ 45

1.   Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, "Make everyone go out from me!" So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. 2.   And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it . 3.   Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph; does my father still live?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. 4.   And Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come near to me." So they came near. Then he said: "I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. 5.   "But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. 6.   "For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7.   "And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8.   "So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9.   "Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry. 10.   "You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. 11.   "There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine."’ 12.   "And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you. 13.   "So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here." 14.   Then he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck. 15.   Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him. 16.   Now the report of it was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, "Joseph’s brothers have come." So it pleased Pharaoh and his servants well. 17.   And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan. 18.   ‘Bring your father and your households and come to me; I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land. 19.   ‘Now you are commanded––do this: Take carts out of the land of Egypt for your little ones and your wives; bring your father and come. 20.   ‘Also do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’" 21.   Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them carts, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave them provisions for the journey. 22.   He gave to all of them, to each man, changes of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments. 23.   And he sent to his father these things : ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father for the journey. 24.   So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, "See that you do not become troubled along the way." 25.   Then they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father. 26.   And they told him, saying, "Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt." And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them. 27.   But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived. 28.   Then Israel said, " It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."

AYB 19

1.   Then Job answered and said: 2.   "How long will you torment my soul, And break me in pieces with words? 3.   These ten times you have reproached me; You are not ashamed that you have wronged me. 4.   And if indeed I have erred, My error remains with me. 5.   If indeed you exalt yourselves against me, And plead my disgrace against me, 6.   Know then that God has wronged me, And has surrounded me with His net. 7.   "If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice. 8.   He has fenced up my way, so that I cannot pass; And He has set darkness in my paths. 9.   He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head. 10.   He breaks me down on every side, And I am gone; My hope He has uprooted like a tree. 11.   He has also kindled His wrath against me, And He counts me as one of His enemies. 12.   His troops come together And build up their road against me; They encamp all around my tent. 13.   "He has removed my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances are completely estranged from me. 14.   My relatives have failed, And my close friends have forgotten me. 15.   Those who dwell in my house, and my maidservants, Count me as a stranger; I am an alien in their sight. 16.   I call my servant, but he gives no answer; I beg him with my mouth. 17.   My breath is offensive to my wife, And I am repulsive to the children of my own body. 18.   Even young children despise me; I arise, and they speak against me. 19.   All my close friends abhor me, And those whom I love have turned against me. 20.   My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, And I have escaped by the skin of my teeth. 21.   "Have pity on me, have pity on me, O you my friends, For the hand of God has struck me! 22.   Why do you persecute me as God does , And are not satisfied with my flesh? 23.   "Oh, that my words were written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book! 24.   That they were engraved on a rock With an iron pen and lead, forever! 25.   For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; 26.   And after my skin is destroyed, this I know , That in my flesh I shall see God, 27.   Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! 28.   If you should say, ‘How shall we persecute him?’ ––Since the root of the matter is found in me, 29.   Be afraid of the sword for yourselves; For wrath brings the punishment of the sword, That you may know there is a judgment."

MAT 24 1-28

1.   Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2.   And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." 3.   Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" 4.   And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. 5.   "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6.   "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7.   "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8.   "All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9.   "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10.   "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11.   "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12.   "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13.   "But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14.   "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. 15.   "Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), 16.   "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17.   "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18.   "And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19.   "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20.   "And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21.   "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22.   "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. 23.   "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it . 24.   "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25.   "See, I have told you beforehand. 26.   "Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it . 27.   "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28.   "For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
