1. "And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish, 2. "and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour). 3. "You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams. 4. "And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall wash them with water. 5. "Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic on Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven band of the ephod. 6. "You shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban. 7. "And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him. 8. "Then you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them. 9. "And you shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put the hats on them. The priesthood shall be theirs for a perpetual statute. So you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. 10. "You shall also have the bull brought before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bull. 11. "Then you shall kill the bull before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 12. "You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the altar. 13. "And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. 14. "But the flesh of the bull, with its skin and its offal, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering. 15. "You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram; 16. "and you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar. 17. "Then you shall cut the ram in pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and with its head. 18. "And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. 19. "You shall also take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram. 20. "Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar. 21. "And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him. 22. "Also you shall take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration), 23. "one loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD; 24. "and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD. 25. "You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the LORD. It is an offering made by fire to the LORD. 26. "Then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be your portion. 27. "And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised, of that which is for Aaron and of that which is for his sons. 28. "It shall be from the children of Israel for Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. For it is a heave offering; it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, that is , their heave offering to the LORD. 29. "And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them. 30. "That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place . 31. "And you shall take the ram of the consecration and boil its flesh in the holy place. 32. "Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 33. "They shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but an outsider shall not eat them , because they are holy. 34. "And if any of the flesh of the consecration offerings, or of the bread, remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. 35. "Thus you shall do to Aaron and his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Seven days you shall consecrate them. 36. "And you shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it. 37. "Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy.

Also draw out the spear, And stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation." 4. Let them be like chaff before the wind, And let the angel of the LORD chase them . 6. Let their way be dark and slippery, And let the angel of the LORD pursue them. 7. For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit, Which they have dug without cause for my life. 8. Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly, And let his net that he has hidden catch himself; Into that very destruction let him fall. 9. And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; It shall rejoice in His salvation. 10. All my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like You, Delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?" 11. Fierce witnesses rise up; They ask me things that I do not know. 12. They reward me evil for good, To the sorrow of my soul. 13. But as for me, when they were sick, My clothing was sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; And my prayer would return to my own heart. 14. I paced about as though he were my friend or brother; I bowed down heavily, as one who mourns for his mother. 15. But in my adversity they rejoiced And gathered together; Attackers gathered against me, And I did not know it ; They tore at me and did not cease; 16. With ungodly mockers at feasts They gnashed at me with their teeth. 17. Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions. 18. I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people. 19. Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies; Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause. 20. For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful matters Against the quiet ones in the land. 21. They also opened their mouth wide against me, And said, "Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it ." 22. This You have seen, O LORD; Do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me. 23. Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication, To my cause, my God and my Lord. 24. Vindicate me, O LORD my God, according to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me. 25. Let them not say in their hearts, "Ah, so we would have it!" Let them not say, "We have swallowed him up." 26. Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion Who rejoice at my hurt; Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor Who exalt themselves against me. 27. Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." 28. 1. < A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.>> An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. 2. For he flatters himself in his own eyes, When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates. 3. The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. 4. He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil. 5. Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 6. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast. 7. How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. 8. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. 9. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. 10. Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart. 11. Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. 12. There the workers of iniquity have fallen; They have been cast down and are not able to rise.
1. Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. 4. So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. 5. Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. 6. And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7. Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him , and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands. 8. Then the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals"; and so he did. And he said to him, "Put on your garment and follow me." 9. So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10. When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people." 12. So, when he had considered this , he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying. 13. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14. When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate. 15. But they said to her, "You are beside yourself!" Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, "It is his angel." 16. Now Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished. 17. But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, "Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren." And he departed and went to another place. 18. Then, as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter. 19. But when Herod had searched for him and not found him, he examined the guards and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there . 20. Now Herod had been very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; but they came to him with one accord, and having made Blastus the king’s personal aide their friend, they asked for peace, because their country was supplied with food by the king’s country . 21. So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. 22. And the people kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a man!" 23. Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. 24. But the word of God grew and multiplied. 25. And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, and they also took with them John whose surname was Mark.
