King James Version

UL 24:1-25:4
YES 6
MRK 8:1-21

UL 24 1-22

1.   "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanness in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house, 2.   "when she has departed from his house, and goes and becomes another man’s wife , 3.   " if the latter husband detests her and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her as his wife, 4.   " then her former husband who divorced her must not take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance. 5.   "When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken. 6.   "No man shall take the lower or the upper millstone in pledge, for he takes one’s living in pledge. 7.   "If a man is found kidnapping any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats him or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die; and you shall put away the evil from among you. 8.   "Take heed in an outbreak of leprosy, that you carefully observe and do according to all that the priests, the Levites, shall teach you; just as I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do. 9.   "Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way when you came out of Egypt. 10.   "When you lend your brother anything, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge. 11.   "You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge out to you. 12.   "And if the man is poor, you shall not keep his pledge overnight. 13.   "You shall in any case return the pledge to him again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own garment and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God. 14.   "You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates. 15.   "Each day you shall give him his wages, and not let the sun go down on it, for he is poor and has set his heart on it; lest he cry out against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you. 16.   "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall the children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin. 17.   "You shall not pervert justice due the stranger or the fatherless, nor take a widow’s garment as a pledge. 18.   "But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this thing. 19.   "When you reap your harvest in your field, and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. 20.   "When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. 21.   "When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. 22.   "And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I command you to do this thing.

UL 25 1-4

1.   "If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked, 2.   "then it shall be, if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, that the judge will cause him to lie down and be beaten in his presence, according to his guilt, with a certain number of blows. 3.   "Forty blows he may give him and no more, lest he should exceed this and beat him with many blows above these, and your brother be humiliated in your sight. 4.   "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain .

YES 6

1.   In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2.   Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3.   And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" 4.   And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. 5.   So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts." 6.   Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7.   And he touched my mouth with it , and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged." 8.   Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." 9.   And He said, "Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ 10.   "Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed." 11.   Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He answered: "Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate, 12.   The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. 13.   But yet a tenth will be in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump remains when it is cut down. So the holy seed shall be its stump."

MRK 8 1-21

1.   In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them, 2.   "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. 3.   "And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar." 4.   Then His disciples answered Him, "How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?" 5.   He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven." 6.   So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them ; and they set them before the multitude. 7.   They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them . 8.   So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. 9.   Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away, 10.   immediately got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha. 11.   Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. 12.   But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation." 13.   And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. 14.   Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat. 15.   Then He charged them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod." 16.   And they reasoned among themselves, saying, " It is because we have no bread." 17.   But Jesus, being aware of it , said to them, "Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened? 18.   "Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? 19.   "When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?" They said to Him, "Twelve." 20.   "Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?" And they said, "Seven." 21.   So He said to them, "How is it you do not understand?"
