RUT 2
YES 63
1TIM 2

RUT 2

1.   There was a relative of Naomi’s husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz. 2.   So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter." 3.   Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech. 4.   Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you!" And they answered him, "The LORD bless you!" 5.   Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?" 6.   So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, "It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab. 7.   "And she said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.’ So she came and has continued from morning until now, though she rested a little in the house." 8.   Then Boaz said to Ruth, "You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women. 9.   " Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn." 10.   So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?" 11.   And Boaz answered and said to her, "It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother–in–law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. 12.   "The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge." 13.   Then she said, "Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants." 14.   Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, "Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back. 15.   And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. 16.   "Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her." 17.   So she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. 18.   Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother–in–law saw what she had gleaned. So she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied. 19.   And her mother–in–law said to her, "Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you." So she told her mother–in–law with whom she had worked, and said, "The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz." 20.   Then Naomi said to her daughter–in–law, "Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!" And Naomi said to her, "This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives." 21.   Ruth the Moabitess said, "He also said to me, ‘You shall stay close by my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’" 22.   And Naomi said to Ruth her daughter–in–law, " It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, and that people do not meet you in any other field." 23.   So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz, to glean until the end of barley harvest and wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother–in–law.

YES 63

1.   Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength? ––"I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save." 2.   Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress? 3.   "I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes. 4.   For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come. 5.   I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me. 6.   I have trodden down the peoples in My anger, Made them drunk in My fury, And brought down their strength to the earth." 7.   I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD And the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses. 8.   For He said, "Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie." So He became their Savior. 9.   In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old. 10.   But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them. 11.   Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying : "Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them, 12.   Who led them by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an everlasting name, 13.   Who led them through the deep, As a horse in the wilderness, That they might not stumble?" 14.   As a beast goes down into the valley, And the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest, So You lead Your people, To make Yourself a glorious name. 15.   Look down from heaven, And see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Where are Your zeal and Your strength, The yearning of Your heart and Your mercies toward me? Are they restrained? 16.   Doubtless You are our Father, Though Abraham was ignorant of us, And Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O LORD, are our Father; Our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name. 17.   O LORD, why have You made us stray from Your ways, And hardened our heart from Your fear? Return for Your servants’ sake, The tribes of Your inheritance. 18.   Your holy people have possessed it but a little while; Our adversaries have trodden down Your sanctuary. 19.   We have become like those of old, over whom You never ruled, Those who were never called by Your name.

1TIM 2

1.   Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2.   for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3.   For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4.   who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5.   For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6.   who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7.   for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle––I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying––a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8.   I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 9.   in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10.   but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11.   Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12.   And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13.   For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14.   And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15.   Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self–control.
